A campground at the Shinshinotsu roadside station and Tappu no Yu hot spring in Shinshinotsu Village. Offers hands-free glamping tents and a large free site (up to 200 groups a day) with a campfire area, surrounded by rice fields and good for stargazing; staffed 24 hours.

Good to know
Take your garbage home. Fires only in the campfire area; no generators, pets, swimming or fireworks. Cooking must be on a charcoal stove.
Access
From Sapporo: Ebetsu-Higashi IC (Doo Expressway), then Route 337, Route 12 and Prefectural Road 81 for about 6 km. From Asahikawa: Iwamizawa IC. Bus from JR Iwamizawa bus centre about 30 min to the door. Free parking.
