Hachi Highlands Auto Campground
ハチ高原オートキャンプ場
Auto campground in Okubo, Yabu, Hyogo, on Hachi Kogen with views of Mt Hyonosen, Hyogo's highest peak, and starry skies. A flat grass area, forest free sites (including an adults-only area) where ground fires are allowed, three roofed cooking shelters and a wood-fired pizza oven. Good base for climbing Hyonosen, Hachibuse and Takamaru.

Good to know
Cash only on site (no cards). Check-in 13:00-16:00; arrivals after 18:00 are treated as cancellations. Ground fires only in the forest sites (clean up after); grass area needs a fire pit with fireproof mat. Hand-held fireworks until 21:30 at the designated spot.
Access
About 30 min from Yoka-Hyonosen IC on the Kita-Kinki Toyooka Expressway; about 70 min from Tottori city via Route 9. Parking: 1 vehicle per tent free, 1,000 yen each additional. Nearest bath: Togayama Onsen Tennyo no Yu, 25 min by car.
