Sakurashimizu Auto Campground

桜清水オートキャンプ場

Small forest resort at the foot of the Utsukushigahara highlands in Matsumoto, Nagano, at the trailhead to Ogato and Ogahana, about 25 min from central Matsumoto. 27 cottages (some pet-friendly), auto camp sites all with power and gear-free rental plans, a large bath fed by Sakurashimizu spring water, a private tent sauna, an iwana fishing pond and a lawn used as a dog run.

Facilities

Good to know

Ground fires banned; fires only in designated places. Caught iwana cannot be released (take home or grill on site). Bath open 6:00–22:00, tickets at the management building.

Access

About 40 min by car from Matsumoto IC; about 30 min by taxi from JR Matsumoto Station. Free parking near the cottages and camp sites.
