Umibe no Mori Campground
海辺の森キャンプ場
City-run campground inside the 120 ha Umibe-no-Mori coastal pine forest in Kita-ku, Niigata City, within walking distance of Shimami-hama beach on the Sea of Japan. Glamping site, two-room tent sites, general sites, permanent tents and a free site, plus a fitness trail and walking paths. Popular with campers from in and outside the prefecture.

Good to know
Take leftovers and garbage home or keep them bundled, and never leave them outside the tent at night. Hot shower 100 yen per 3 min, 8:30–21:00 in the management building. Campfire sets must be booked 3 days ahead.
