Shirakumo no Ike Campground
白雲の池キャンプ場
A lakeside campground at 700 m elevation beside Hakuun no Ike pond in Unzen, Nagasaki, about 20 minutes on foot from Unzen onsen town. Cool in summer, with a trailhead to Mt. Kinugasa near the office. Offers circle sites and free sites on sloped, wooded ground.

Good to know
No showers; two squat-style outdoor toilets. Take all garbage home. Luggage must be carried from the office to the sites uphill, so bring a cart.
Access
From Isahaya take Route 57 toward Unzen Onsen and turn left at the Hakuun no Ike sign; a bus stop (few services) is at the entrance. About 30 free parking spaces.
